Lies Behind My Tongue

A poem

Jun 25

Saccharine lips
Deep brown eyes
Pulling you closer and closer
Like a magnetic metal
Attracting its kind

All the lies in the world
In my mouth, spitting
All the sweet adjectives

Honeyed kisses
Snakes hissing
Don’t get confused
Between lust and love
Lies and truth

Smooth jazz
Following its melody
Flirtatious lips
Matching with bouncy hips

In thy eyes,
I betrayed thee
In your heart,
I am true.
